1. Matching Pitch and Thickness:
Ensure the pitch (1/4'') of the 1/4'' Saw Chain matches the machine's guide plate perfectly; a thickness of .043in is suitable for light pruning machines, and .050in is suitable for small chainsaws requiring greater cutting power.
2. Tension Adjustment: Use the dedicated tension adjusting bolt to tighten the chain to a gap of approximately 1–2mm; too loose will cause the chain to jump, while too tight
will accelerate wear and increase the risk of breakage.
3. Regular Inspection and Replacement: Inspect the chain teeth for dulling, cracks, or loosening every 8–10 hours of use or after every 200 meters of cutting; replace immediately if any abnormalities are found to prevent accidental damage.
4. Lubrication and Rust Prevention
1/4’’ Saw Chains are lubricated evenly with specialized chain oil to keep the chain surface smooth. In humid or dusty environments, use rust inhibitors or dust covers to extend service life.
5. Safety Precautions
Wear protective gloves, safety glasses, and noise-canceling earmuffs before operation; ensure the work area is free of people and flammable materials, and never work for extended periods in high temperatures or direct sunlight.
