How to lubricate the 3/8'' saw chain?

1. Preparation and Inspection
Check the chain status: First, visually inspect whether the chain shows obvious signs of lack of lubrication, jamming, or abnormal noise.
Check the oil level in the oil tank: Ensure that there is enough oil in the oil tank to prevent the chain from overheating due to running out of oil during operation.
Check the oil passage: Make sure the oil passage is clear and the oil pump is not clogged.

2. Confirm the Lubrication Position
At the top of the oil tank: Open the oil tank cap or the lubrication nozzle.
Connect the oil pump: Connect the oil delivery pipe of the oil pump to the oil outlet of the oil tank.
Eliminate air bubbles: When connecting, expel the air from the oil delivery pipe to ensure smooth oil flow.

3. Precise Lubrication Operation
Start the oil pump: Slowly start the oil pump and observe the direction of the oil flow.
Observe the oil distribution: Ensure that the oil can be evenly distributed along the sprocket teeth, chain rollers, and chain links.
Lubricate quantitatively: It is generally recommended to replenish the lubricating oil every 10 minutes of operation. For heavy duty operations, the frequency can be appropriately increased.

4. Completion and Cleaning
Turn off the oil pump: Immediately turn off the oil pump after the operation to prevent leakage.
Clean the residual oil: Wipe off the excess oil on the sprocket housing and the outside of the chain with a clean cloth to prevent the oil from dripping and polluting the working environment.
Check the start up: Power on the chainsaw, listen to the running sound, and confirm that a lubricating oil film is formed and there is no abnormal noise.
